Cycle to the Tour de France Prologue

    Friday, March 30th, 2007

STA Bikes, hackney, have obtained ringside tickets to view the Prologue of the Tour de France in London on Saturday July 7th and plan to offer them to lucky families in the area who wish to cycle down to the event this summer.

Don’t worry – full training will be given – they are even offering a Family Cycle Club running for 11 Saturday mornings from April 21st to encourage groups of all ages to take up a new sport, have some fun, get fit and help the environment at the same time. All tuition will be by experienced cycle trainers currently working in hackney. The sessions are at Sir Thomas Abney Primary School, Fairholt Road, Stamford Hill, N16 from 10.00am – 1.00pm each week.

The club is intended to encourage families, and other groups, to gain confidence on their cycles, get some on-road experience depending on proficiency, and take up a new sport.

    Can’t Cycle/Won’t Cycle?

    Friday, March 30th, 2007

STA Bikes (based at Sir Thomas Abney School) may be able to help. They’re currently running cycle courses for adults who want to either learn cycling skills, improving and/or gain road confidence. If you’re interested in learning a new skill, getting fit at the same time and helping reduce pollution in one easy step, ring: 07726 348483 and leave a message.

HOW ABOUT TEACHING OTHERS TO CYCLE??

They are also interested in hearing from competent cyclists who would like to train as cycle trainers, pass on their cycle skills to others and earn a bit of extra cash in their spare time. If you’re interested, ring: 07726 348483.
